The True Visual Effects of Abuse

We never know the actual trauma and exact effects of abuse. It can hide in the darkest corners of your nearest neighborhood, your mayor's office, down the street at your local bar or even at your local church. Yes, violence can disguise itself in many shapes, many people, many experiences, and many opportunities. But let's be clear Abuse and Violence has no bias, it does not discriminate. It doesn't care of your age, your gender, your status, your political affiliation, your race, your religion, or your economic status. Violence is just Violence, it just plain hates, no matter the appearance of it. If we look at humanity throughout the ages, we can see that we have transformed ourself. We as humans have evolved into a species that has grasped the evolution of hatred and malice. And although there are particular occasions that we can show great feet of good loving kindness. We are starting to lose the inability to feel the basic instincts of great compassion. Sometimes, our mandate of un-remorseable lawlessness to appease our generation is stronger than that of human kindness. We make excuses for killing babies, we make excuses for sodomy and rapist and call them, "morally upright and law-abiding in life."
We even question the morality of the structure of human decency in the sanctity of marriages, families, the care of social equality and the treatment of each person principles. It has gotten necessary and disgusting that human life has taken a back seat because we like to use morality as the basis of our own platforms. Although, we see crying children, helpless mothers, gun violence, racial tension, religious divide, political indifferences, and human biases. I believe if we cannot take a grasp on these personal divides and agendas, we will never be able to take a hold on the issues of Domestic Violence. Ever. And the Issues of childhood trauma, suicide, and sexual trafficking; these issues are more significant than one group, one nation, and one person can undertake. We need personal deliverance and a personal manifestation of healing to this country like never before.
Martin Luther King said it best when he said,
The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence, you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence, you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

I got a fantastic opportunity to work with a great photographer in Connecticut  Nikki Lyn Amatruda, and her excellent work with the models and makeup artist in Connecticut for the Intimate Partner Violence PSA calendar,
I do have to warn you some pictures are very explicit in nature, so I AM PLACING A WARNING to anyone because of the graphic quality.  But what surprised me was the tenacity, the love, and compassion all these women and how they loved one another. I was touched by the loving kindness that each woman had for one another and how they reach out to share their stories. It really places this PSA at a particular moment in time to let the world know of what they faced. Many of them years before, many of them months earlier, and many of them just a couple of weeks, but we all can attest this is a time capsule of pain. Knowing that this pain is no longer available but tucked away until needed for our next advocacy moment. They were strong and purely spectacular women. I am so thankful to have known each and every one of them. If you get an opportunity please stop and check out Nikki's closer images online and many of these amazing women. I hope you will become part of the fantastic Domestic Violence Rally Movement. It has not been easy, but each voice together can mean a grand scale of a collective movement to show peoples stories. This Vigil in each state will show that we are going to seize anonymity and complacency and choose to stand for what is right and what is RIGHTEOUS.

God bless and stay safe in America.

How can we encourage our kids and REMEMBER TO LISTEN!

As parents it is so difficult to know if our children are having trouble at school with grades, teachers or even lunch money let alone being bullied. Keeping an open line of communication and making our child always feel that they can come to us with any and all situations without them feeling that mom and dad won't go; (as they say -BALLISTIC), is a reassurance that we as parents can handle any and all situations with a cool and level head is a reassurance to them.
Our responsibility is to KEEP them safe but also to MAKE them feel safe and not overwhelmed them especially about the situation.
Great example of this was Issac Irvine and his wonderful son Brodi; Brodi was being bullied at school for growing his hair out to help a unique cause and being called a girl by two mischievous and unkind boys. Issac Irvine an amazing father made an awesome video to not only help encourage Brodi but to show others that bullying is just not okay.
The parenting style of this father is unique and amazing to say the least, HE WINS AN A+ IN MY BOOK. To not only diffuse the situation in Brodi but to uplift, encourage and love him and many others out there has created this video a huge phenomenon of HOPE.

It's all about how we communicate to our children,
REMEMBER THEY WILL LISTEN!

AS WE PROGRESS IN OUR VIRTUAL WORLD, ARE WE LOSING OUR HUMANITY?

Hello everyone as we progress with the virtual reality of this world and the GO-GO of the movement generation its becoming apparently clear that we all move so fast we lose touch with one another. Truly as I have with all of you I have lost touch and with that I must APOLOGIZE.
This world is a set of digits, numbers, sets and slides that we have forgotten what is really important to us (family, friends, co-workers, students, teachers, Pastors and those close to us).
Our children and even some of us live in such an imaginary state of mind with our phones, that all we do is look at what is next on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snap Chat, and little by little lose some of our humanity for one another. Our kids have become so numb to the world around them and totally incoherent to the noise of pain and suffering because all they have seen is pain, noise, violence and confusion! So all they know to do is cause more pain, more violence, more noise and definitely in their minds is confusion. They want to be caught in the middle of everything because they have been programmed by social media that, that is the cool thing to do and to be. If you are not hurting and to be hurt and being the center of attention and getting the most HITS on social media you're not the IT person!!
It has twisted our young people into victims of their own state of abusive delusion.
That delusion has set an abusive pattern that has set a stream of many videos of suicide, cyber-bullying, caught on tape fights in bathrooms, teachers hurt by students and vise versa, brawl fights with girls and boys and many unforeseen cry-outs by parents for children and about children. This world is crying out for our kids! So what are we parents to do?

Unfortunately until we gather together as a nation to protect one another and our loved ones this kind of behaviour will continue. We must love, talk and seek to help one another and notice the signs immediately...BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!
Even
IF- your child is the BULLIED or the BULLIER
IF- they are the ACCUSED or the 1 NEEDING HELP
IF- The they are LOVED or the 1 SEEKING to be LOVED
THERE IS ALWAYS TIME!!!
PUT THE PHONE DOWN AND LISTEN.

If you are in need of help, need someone to listen or having problems at home, school or anywhere
OR
                 IF you are being ABUSED
or CYBER-BULLIED or BULLIED and need IMMEDIATE HELP
                      PLEASE CALL!!

Talking about Physical Abuse / Assault

PHYSICAL ABUSE / ASSAULT
which defined is or may involve:

  • Pushing
  • Shoving
  • Hitting
  • Choking
  • Confining
  • Pinching
  • Hair Pulling
  • Or Assaulting with object or weapon.
Any act in which a person does bodily harm can be considered physical abuse or assault. Physical assault in many states can be a misdemeanor and depending on the offense can have felony charges. You will have to check your individual state for a guideline of your state's individual judiciary  laws of such offenses. Many states like California state Physical abuse as:
  • Physically hurting or trying to hurt someone intentionally or recklessly;
  • Sexual assault;
  • Making someone reasonably afraid that he or she or someone else is about to be seriously hurt (like threats or promises to harm someone); OR
  • Behavior like harassing, stalking, threatening, or hitting someone, disturbing someone’s peace, or destroying someone’s personal property).

In other states for example, Virginia's judiciary acts states;
§ 18.2-57. Assault and battery.
A. Any person who commits a simple assault or assault and battery shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor, and if the person intentionally selects the person against whom a simple assault is committed because of his race, religious conviction, color or national origin, the penalty upon conviction shall include a term of confinement of at least six months, 30 days of which shall be a mandatory minimum term of confinement.
B. However, if a person intentionally selects the person against whom an assault and battery resulting in bodily injury is committed because of his race, religious conviction, color or national origin, the person shall be guilty of a Class 6 felony, and the penalty upon conviction shall include a term of confinement of at least six months, 30 days of which shall be a mandatory minimum term of confinement.

Its very important to understand that even if you do not feel like you have hurt that person, any act of physical violence or intentionally hurting someone can be considered violent and dangerous.

These acts can damage your job status, you can be arrested, do community service, have to take anger management classes, have a criminal record or worst.

God did not call us to intentionally or deliberately hurt anyone. When Jesus was on the cross the word says that he had ten thousand legions of angels standing at attention at his will to do anything but instead he spoke love to the Father in Luke 23:34 and said "Fatherforgive them, for they know not what they do"
What a beautiful act that he laid his life down for us although we did not deserve it.
He never once threaten those spitting on him, throwing stones, calling him names and mocking him. He only saw love for each of them.

WE ARE ALL SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE MOST HIGH. THE PHYSICAL DAMAGE YOU DO TO SOMEONE IS THE DAMAGE YOU DO TO THE FATHER.

Blog Beacon to show awareness of Bullying

This Blog is a beacon to all those who love the Lord but feel helpless in the controversy of the Bullying topic. This site is here to help, encourage and support those who are looking for direction on how to handle a bullying situation. This site is not only tailored for teens and kids but we encourage all parents to please participate. We encourage words of encouragement and hope that by being here you will not feel alone. When we understand the impact this has on society and family units as a whole we as Christians can educate ourselves to be able to confront this issue with the will of the Father.

We as parents are here to impart knowledge (whether we have faced this issue ourselves in the past as teens and kids or maybe we ourselves were the aggressor and repented of those things that manifested within us that was not of love and was not the purpose of Father God).
As teens and kids this site is here as a safe haven. To listen, to learn and impart also your wisdom of how you are dealing or have dealt with any situation.

This site will provide many links to different organizations that will assist and also with different resources for you and your family to aid in the knowledge of this issue. Remember the word says:
Ecclesiates 7:12 "For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it."

We ask that we walk in the the love of the Lord while entering this site. That we treat each other with respect, whether we agree with what they have to say or not and again treating this as a safe haven for all. A place of agreement is a place of power. We should strive to show love and walk as Jesus walked and speak as Jesus spoke.

Please enjoy the site and love to be able to hear from everyone.
